This policy describes what personal data AIR collects and maintains about its members and explains how it is used. 

 

What personal data do we collect?

We maintain a spreadsheet list of all members which contains the following personal details:- 

• Name 

• Address 

• Email address and  

• Telephone number 

• Date record updated 

• Emergency contact name and telephone number  

• Agreement to share health information 

• Agreement to this policy about data use 

• Agreement to photographs being used by the club 

 

How we collect the personal data 

• Personal data is added to the list by consent. 

• This consent is given by the member via a web form or in writing.  

 

How we use your personal data 

• We only use our list to send messages to members.  

• Where members have provided a mobile telephone number we will ask permission before using it to text them, e.g about boat spaces due to cancellations. 

• We do not share your personal data with any other organisations unless you have given specific permission e.g. in relation to the club registering you for an external event. 

 

How we look after your data 

• The member's register is maintained by AIR . 

• The live list is password protected and only accessible to the AIR Committee. 

 

How long we keep your personal data 

Your personal data will be kept for as long as AIR exists, or for a period of 6 years after your membership comes to an end.
